Neil Kenlock’s ‘Expectations’ Photo book’

We are pleased to announce the launch of the ‘Expectations’ photo book that features some of Neil Kenlock’s most striking images from the Expectations exhibition at the Black Cultural Archives. This glossy photo book edited and published by Emelia Kenlock, celebrates black community leadership, was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and has a foreword by Baroness Howells of St Davids, who is a dear friend of Neil.

The book recorded many of the previously untold stories that emerged from the photos, including names, dates, locations and events. This book is a valuable resource for those who have not been able to travel to the physical exhibition and another way to learn more about black British history.
